The RIPE’s (Regional Internet Registry for Europe) suffered a cyberattack on their SSO (single sign-on) service by what appears to have been a deliberate credential stuffing attack. Preliminary investigations by RIPE do not indicate that the SSO accounts have been compromised. The attack appears to be successfully mitigated by RIPE’s team. Almost 200,000 people affected by the Simon Frazer University cyberattack on their server. Information on students, employee ID numbers, admissions, academic standings, and other information was stored on the breached server.
